Core Values

I. The Glory of God
A. The glory of God is His radiant life, character, light, power, love, i.e. all His attributes which emit off of Himself. In essence, it is God exploding off Himself.
1. When God’s glory is revealed or manifested, there is a noticeable shift in the “atmosphere”. The heavenly realm becomes more real than the natural realm. God’s number      one commitment (value) is to fill the whole earth with His manifest glory! (Ex.14:4, 33:18,40:34; I Ch. 16:10; Ps. 19:1, 29:1, 57:5, 72:19, 96:3, 108:5, Is. 42:8, Ez.44:4; Rev. 14:6-7 )
2. “The Presence and the manifestation of the Presence are not the same. There can be the one without the other. God is here when we are wholly unaware of it. He is manifest only when and as we are aware of His Presence.” The Pursuit of God by A. W. Tozer p. 58
3. What we were originally created for. (Isa.43:7)
4. It is the Eternal Gospel. (Rev.14:7) “He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
5. Sin’s deepest destruction is that it falls short of giving God the proper glory.(Rms.3:23)
6. The glory of God is also the means to give Him glory!(Rms.11:36; 2Cor.3:18)

II. Christ and Kingdom of God
A. The “Kingdom of God” is the realm or domain in which Christ is the King. It is where God’s will and ways are perfectly obeyed through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is where Christ is the uncontested Lord, where He perfectly rules and reigns, and His government is fully manifested. It is Christ’s desire for His kingdom to come to earth. We are called to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. (Matt. 6:33)

B. The Kingdom Within (The Heart)
1. Luke 17:21 “The Kingdom is within you”
2. Gal.2:20 “Christ lives in me.”

C. The Kingdom Between (Relationships)
1. Between believers, family members, spouses, co-workers, bosses, government officials, etc. (Rms.12:10; Col.3:13; 1Pet.2:17)

D. The Kingdom Around (All areas of influence)
1. Religion
2. Marriage and Family
3. Marketplace
4. Education
5. Media
6. Arts
7. Civil Government and Community Services

III. Father and Family of God
A. God is Father (means “Source”), Son, and Holy Spirit: a Family of Three yet One. As a Father, God builds His kingdom and mediates His grace relationally in the context of natural and spiritual family.
1. Natural Family (Eph.5:21-33)
a. Universal Family (human)
b. Specific Family (parents)
2. Spiritual Family (Acts 2:42-47)
a. Universal Church
b. Local Church

IV. The Great Commission
A. Christ has given us the privilege of advancing His kingdom in every sphere of life by helping others become followers of Christ in the context of covenant family. A follower of Christ is another word for “disciple”. Here is the Great Commission: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20 Other places in the Word of God that describe the Great Commission: Matt. 9:35-38, 16:24-28; Mark 16:15; Luke 9:23-27, 10:1-24; Acts 1:8.
