“School of Foundations”

The purpose of this 6 month school is to help equip believers to encounter Jesus and acquire biblical understanding of foundational doctrines, attributes, and the ways of God.  This tract will function as a pre-requisite for the School of Leaders. There will be expectations and commitments for those who desire to enroll.

Overview:

The School of Foundations will run 6 months/ 2 quarters long.  The school will be held Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm.  Each class will be separated into two 1 hour teachings.  The first quarter, first hour will focus on experiencing Christ.  The first quarter, second hour will focus on the foundational doctrines of the word and the “elementary teachings.”  The required reading for the first quarter will be “The Secret To The Christian Life” by Gene Edwards and “Foundations” by Malcom Webber.

The second quarter, first hour will focus on the character and attributes of God.  The second hour of the second quarter will be committed to the “ways” of God specific to the Kingdom of God.  The required reading for the 2nd quarter will be “Knowledge Of The Holy” by A.W. Tozer

Expectations and Commitments:

  • Commit to becoming a life giving person who learns to be lead by the Spirit.
  • Commit to having a teachable spirit and willing to apply what is taught.
  • Commit to punctual and consistent attendance- (2 excused absences per quarter) must notify Ryan of Josh if absent
  • Must be an active member of a house church and actively in a 2’s and 3’s within that house church.
  • Keep up with weekly required reading.
  • Attend Encounter God Weekend ($75) June 25,26, 27
  • Attend Rock Orientation (Saturday, February 13)

“School of Leaders”

The “School of Leaders” is a specific one-year discipleship tract for people who desire to grow in their ability to lead and take responsibility in the Kingdom of God. The training will cover a span of topics that will motivate the head, heart, and hands to be equipped for leadership in the Kingdom of God. The school will focus on the both doctrine and life application. (1Tim.4:16) The year will be divided up into 4 quarters of specific focus.

Commitments and Expectations to start School:

1. Commit to be a life-giving person who is willing to lead and influence others

2. Commit to having a teachable spirit and willing to apply what is taught

3. Commit to punctual and consistent in attendance- must notify Ryan of Josh if absent

4. Be willing to do so some homework

5. Must have gone through a Rock Orientation

6. Must be an active member of a house church

7. Must be in a specific 2’s or 3’s regularly

8. Commit Thursdays to fasting

9. Regularly attend and proactively participate in corporate meetings

10. Finish “School of Foundations” before enrolling
